Job Summary


Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide respite care for the wife of an outgoing, elderly client near Oakton, VA. He has early onset dementia and needs reminders and assistance with ADLs. Needs standby shower assistance and mobility monitoring for fall prevention. Companion care to include taking walks, walking the dog, and conversation. Assistance with meal preparation and cleanup. pleasant elderly lady transitioning from a facility back to home near Great Falls, VA. Must have current HHA or CNA license with at least one year of experience. Expect 5 hour shifts during the day to begin, with the probability of more shifts in the future. Reliable transportation and willing to drive client to appointments and on errands are highly desirable.

Benefits:



  • Earn up to $18 per hour. Hourly rate of $16 plus $2 per hour bonus for on-time to shifts during each month.

Job Responsibilities


Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:



  • Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.

  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.

  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.

  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the clients home or any significant observations regarding the client.

  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.

  • Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor.

  • Report abnormal findings in clients conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.



Required Skills & Qualifications



  • Experience: One year of documented experience as a Caregiver (HHA/PCA certificate). CNA license is highly desirable.

  • Requirements:


    • Authorized to work in the United States

    • Pass a background check and drug screen

    • Current Driver's License

    • Current TB test

    • Immunizations to include COVID-19
