The **Distribution Center Supervisor** is a key part of the Distribution Center team and is responsible for operating an efficient, productive, and safe department, while consistently meeting or exceeding daily production requirements within the distribution center. Responsible for day-to-day leadership, pro-active problem solving, effective planning and coaching to create a motivated work environment where co-workers can excel. The Distribution Center Supervisor oversees functional areas including shipping, receiving, transportation and inventory control with a focus on attaining goals and requirements thru Lean Manufacturing skills.

**The DC Supervisor will be a key team player by:**

* Leading the team with consistency by focusing on high-performance expectations to achieve goals that are aligned with operational and organizational strategies.

* Accountable for all Distribution Center performance metrics (Safety, OE, Productivity, Velocity, Quality, Inventory accuracy) and leads effort to take corrective action where performance gaps exist.

* Closely monitors workflow and capacity to ensure customer orders ship on-time.

* Monitoring and Leading adherence to distribution center best practice guidelines by all department co-workers.

* Building trust by listening and sharing knowledge and solutions, provide coaching and regular feedback to support improvement in co-worker performance and to delivering a safe, quality product to our internal and external customers.

* Managing the competencies, skills and training of your team and Team Leads that accurately reflects their abilities and supports their development by cross-training and feedback.

* Managing an effective and visual communication process that engages all employees in the day to day running of the business and drives achievement of performance goals and results.

* Daily practitioner of Gemba and Leads a weekly Tempo huddle across all DC teams.

**Skills, Education and Certifications:**

* BS Degree or equivalent experience or at least 4 years of distribution center experience with progressive supervisory or leadership experience.

* 5 years working in a warehousing or manufacturing environment

* Must have experience leading teams in a distribution center/warehouse or manufacturing environment with process and people management experience.

* Must have the ability to provide verbal and write constructive co-worker feedback to support a learning and growth mindset.

* Must have experience working in a continuous improvement capacity or support role.

* Excellent written / verbal & listening communication skills

* Excellent planning & organizational skills

* Ability to lead / manage / develop and train cross functional teams

* High proficiency in use of PC software including Microsoft Office applications

* High proficiency in use of Warehouse Management systems (WMS), (LN/ERP) enterprise application and MS Excel

* High energya can win attitude with the ability to create momentum

* Eager learner / teacher

* Honest, compassionate and authentic

* Lean manufacturing (6s, Kaizen, Flow, SMED)

* Creating and utilizing visual solutions
