Summary



Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) in McLean, VA an opportunity for an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO). In this capacity, you will take on a specialized position for supervising, managing and administering the DoD or other government security programs at ATSC. You will be responsible for compliance with corporate and government security policies and for the safety & security of ATSC personnel, materials, and classified or confidential business documents. You will process and review all security clearances and maintain all facility security documentation in accordance with government requirements. You will have detailed familiarity with the NISPOM and the security requirements for DoD and other Federal agencies.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Interpret government requirements to maintain and administer a compliant security management plan under the 32 CFR part 117 (NISPOM)
  • Maintain all facility security documentation in accordance with DCSA requirements.
  • Administrate the personnel security clearance program in the DoD government systems of record (DISS)
  • Develop and maintain a Document Inventory and Control program for all classified and sensitive information.
  • Liaison with local First Responders, DCSA and other federal security agencies
  • Administer access control system to include perimeter, building, & Open Storage areas
  • Lead crisis management program for all security incidents and emergencies.
  • Supervise and manage the security of all ATSC facilities.
  • Develop and maintain Superior level security processes and procedures.
  • Develop multiprong security education, training and awareness program.
  • Provide and document security exit briefings to all former employees.
  • Maintain current Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and serve as primary point of contact for IDS notifications and response.
  • Responsible for controlling safe combinations, cypher codes, alarm codes for IDS system.
  • Apprise Leadership team of status of security operations and developments.
  • Maintain and administer CUI program to include partnering with IT ensuring compliance with NIST 800 series.
  • Prepare and partner with the DCSA during government required security assessments.




Preferred/ Required Qualifications




  • BA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Industrial Security is preferred.
  • Computer proficient
  • Knowledge of DOD security systems
  • FSO training/certification from DCSA preferred or able to be obtained.
  • Familiarity with NISPOM
  • Knowledge of Intrusion Detection System, Access Control and CCTVV
  • Required- Must be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
  • Required- U.S. Citizenship

  • Work is performed in an office setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • May occasionally be required to life moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
