LockNet is seeking an organized and diligent **Buyer 1** to join our team!
This position will be managing end to end procurement activities across assigned categories , while interfacing with a variety of stakeholder groups in a dynamic and challenging environment. This Buyer ensures that goods arrive on time, to specification and at the best cost to support a fast - paced and growing company.
**The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:**
* Purchasing items according to M RP plans , expediting purchase orders, managing change orders and coordinating logistical activities
* Contribut ing to the development and implementation of category strategies
* Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and communication with internal customers and vendors
* Ensuring that goods arrive on time and to specification
* Interfacing with internal customers and vendors to resolve technical queries in a prompt and accurate manner
* Effectively identifying supply options and negotiating with vendors to reduce cost or add value in other ways
* Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
* Working with the Finance and Inventory departments to address and resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies

**The minimum qualifications include:**
* Two years of recent Purchasing experience in a manufacturing, construction or other industrial sector
* Working knowledge of MRP systems
* Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office
* Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Excellent organization and communication skills
**Additional Preferred qualifications include:**
* Bachelor's degree
* A certification in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
* Demonstrable experience of 5+ years in a procurement/supply chain role
* Excellent computer skills and experience with automated purchasing programs and systems.
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
