Job Description
This is a part time position (between 10-18 hours weekly).
Responsibilities include:
Assists customers with the purchase of lawn & garden equipment and assists with ordering of parts by performing the following duties:
Assists customers on the sales floor with the purchase of power equipment along with looking up and selling parts. Actively listens and asks questions to evaluate customer's needs and finds the product or solutions to meet those needs.
Assists in answering phones for the division.
Stay up to date on new products and vendor offerings
Help customers apply and process financing offers through equipment vendors
Assists customers with the drop-off or pick-up of power equipment to be repaired by making service orders and updating information in customer's file.
Assists customers with the drop-off or pick-up of items for sharpening or tire repair.
On a monthly basis, contacts customers who have make power equipment purchases to solicit feedback on their satisfaction and to address any questions or concerns. Maintains a spreadsheet with this information.
On a seasonal basis, contacts and schedules equipment service for customers who have signed up. Customers with snowblowers to service are contacted in September. Customers with all tractors/walkbehinds/gators are contacted from November through January. Updates interest in customer maintenance to track completiong of call list and levels of participation.
Assist and help perform inventory counts of parts and wholegoods. This is done monthly and yearly to ensure inventory is correct.
Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software, Part Smart Manufacturing software and Excel Spreadsheet software.
Needs to be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds and be on feet for extended periods of time.
