IT Customer Support Specialist
IT Support Sterling , Virginia Contract to Hire Dec 15, 2021 As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure an **IT Customer Support Specialist** to join our client in Sterling, VA. ***This position will be onsite and all new hires must be vaccinated unless they are approved for an accommodation***.
We are looking to hire a customer service focused individual to perform Tier 1 IT Support for the Corporate IT group. You will answer the help desk phone and work with our internal customers to answer any questions and/or resolve any technical issues they have.
**Responsibilities:**
You will be responsible for laptop and desktop loads and configurations. Troubleshooting should include hardware, software, and basic networking. You will be responsible for keeping an up to date inventory of hardware and be required to perform any other duties as assigned. You will work to document calls and resolutions and escalate as necessary. Excellent customer service skills are important, as a lot of time will be spent interacting with users on the phone and verbally.
**Requested Qualifications:**
* An Associates Degree and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 10 environment
* Knowledge of current technologies
* Customer Service experience
* Excellent Phone Etiquette
* Proficiency with MS Office
* Experience with Service Now would be an asset
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
* Detail Oriented Individual not discouraged by repetitive or mundane tasks
