The Position:

We re looking for a Webmaster - eCommerce & Marketing, to join our family of pet-centric creatives. The Webmaster will play a key role in contributing to our company via a variety of brand, sales, and marketing-related assignments. It's a fantastic opportunity for a creative thinker with excellent time-management skills to take on a challenging role and work with a great team of professionals. Primarily responsible for maintaining current optimized branded websites, managing the eCommerce Shopify platform, and owning the development, digital strategy, and maintenance of 3rd Party Ecommerce storefronts like Amazon, Chewy, Walmart and others. This position will be the expert others in the organization would come to for consult about digital marketing metrics, analysis, and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees day-to-day management of our e-commerce store to drive sales through optimizing product mix, A+ content for product pages, competitive pricing strategy, SEO strategy, and paid advertising.
  • Perform Regular Competitive Checks for retail pricing and MAP enforcement
  • Manages content for multiple websites, ensuring content is up-to-date and that information is comprehensive, well-organized, user-friendly, and presents a consistent brand image.
  • Acts as the liaison between marketing, internal IT departments, and third-party vendors to lead various website development projects
  • Leads in the development of website design to produce the best possible user experience possible
  • Manages the store locator database to keep product locations up to date, develops best in class strategies for user ease and path to sale
  • Designs and Builds Squarespace websites as needed for brand and retailer collaborations and special events.
  • Conducts regular competitive analyses to identify best practices, trends, sales opportunities, and recommended action items
  • Proactively identifies SEO opportunities, and performs regular SEO, content, and social media audits working closely with our local vendor partners
  • Monitor google analytics traffic regularly and identify trends and issues that need to be discussed and notify leadership about what is going well or issues that need tasks created to fix usability issues affecting website performance.
  • Works with Sales and Marketing to optimize product pages on Chewy, Amazon, Walmart, and other retailer eCommerce platforms to optimize above the fold base info and images, as well as create best in class rich media and below the fold A+ content.
  • Plans and executes digital campaigns for the eCommerce Store, Amazon, Chewy, etc via Google Ads and own brand social media.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed


Requirements:

  • Must Love Pets!
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of working experience in a web role, digital analyst, or digital marketing strategy role required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience managing eCommerce (Shopify Preferred)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Amazon, Google Ads, and Google Analytics
  • Proficient in the creation and customization of Squarespace and Shopify web platforms and themes.
  • Actual client experience design websites on Squarespace (necessary). You must know the Squarespace platform inside-out.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, and the custom code features on Squarespace. A large number of the websites you will work on will have some element of custom code. We do not reinvent the wheel, so whenever possible we will be leveraging already written code snippets from libraries, but you must be comfortable sourcing, understanding , and implementing this code in a Squarespace environment.
  • Experience implementing digital content and campaigns while maintaining brand messaging and consistency
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience with SEO, SEM, and other marketing tools.
  • Up to date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in eCommerce
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software)
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and brand awareness
  • Teammate mentality, works well with others striving for a common goal


The Location:

This position will be based in Huntsville, AL in our downtown marketing office.

Some travel may be required for marketing production.
