Job Details

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

The Quality Inspector will organize and arrange the staging area and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Upon the beginning and end of each shift the previous shift Quality Inspector will inform the next shift Quality Inspector of current issues. Both Quality Inspectors will tour the production area (make a round) to make sure everything is for the next shift.

Gather data, record it in Gain Seeker and review control charts to assist production personnel in maintaining a quality product.

Some part files could have items to be entered.

Submit Action Reports to Shift Supervisor for out of control and tolerance conditions on all parts.

Maintain First and Last shot board.

Complete forms and maintain files.

Work with minimal supervision and use good judgement in determining the initial acceptability of production parts.

Sort and contain any nonconforming or suspect parts as required by the shift Supervisor.

Assist in training operators.

Clean, care for, and use measuring/inspection equipment.

Perform L&L expansion test.

Aid in the success of the Shift Awareness Meeting daily.

Understand and apply the Quality Management System, and ISO-9001, IATF.

Know how to use Label Maker and print all necessary labels.

Review, sign, and understand Notification of Quality Concern (NOQC).

Verify that Production N-Charts are being completed as required.

Be able to log on to WILKO computer system to receive and send emails.

Be able to log on to WILKO computer system to view and print all required documents.

Setup and use all Scales.

Perform Color Checks Visually and with X-Rite Spectrophotometer.

Use and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Use and understand Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).

Use and understand Control Plan (CP).

Use and understand WILKO Engineering Releases.
