At Nexus Solutions for Autism, our Behavior Technicians are the backbone of our success in providing superior care and service through the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our Behavior Technicians will be expected to perform the following job duties:


Direct service to Clients:

Implement individualized programs that have been developed by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) for children and young adults based on ABA principles that increase communication, self-help, social and play skills.


Manage inappropriate behaviors that occur through the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and consultation with our BCBAs.


Facilitate interactions with peers, coworkers, and families both at home and in the community Attend all schedule meetings related to clients.


Accurately collect and record data on the child's progress throughout the session using our digital data collection tools.


General Professionalism:

Complete all necessary paperwork and keep current credentials active.

Communicate professionally with BCBAs, teachers, parents, administrative staff, and other outside service providers.


Be courteous & professional with families, organizations, and children and abide by confidentiality mandates.

Agree to a weekly schedule of therapy sessions and maintain good attendance.


Attend regular company and team meetings.


Collaborate with all members of the team, including BCBAs, other therapists, and family members of the client

Qualifications:

Have a bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, speech/language, social work, or another related field.


Have experience working with children and/or managing challenging behaviors with children in an in-home therapy, school, or other setting (preferred).


Ability to manage your time effectively.


Posses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written.


Possess a driver's license with reliable transportation and auto insurance.


Have access to a working cell phone, computer, and experience using tablet technology.


Availability to work after school hours, evenings, and weekends, as that is primarily when our clients are available for services.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour based on calculations (including previous experience)
