Plant Manager


Job Details

We are seeking a Plant Manager that will be responsible to oversee and develop management of all areas of Manufacturing, Quality, Shipping & Receiving and Maintenance for 2 facilities within an hour drive. To direct activities to ensure high growth, customer commitments are met, including on-time shipment, quality standards while meeting company cost objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Develop and establish manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, and engineering procedures for manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.

Develop continuous improvement strategy that aligns to the with the overall business strategy

Undertake regular and frequent financial reporting to continuously ensure results are meeting or exceeding commitments on all initiatives/projects.

Establish internal processes to be able to present the performance and financial analysis to the senior management team on a regular basis. Develop dashboards / score cards for manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, and engineering functions.

Direct the manufacturing management of the facilities to ensure fast order processing, accurate inventory control, proper and timely receipt/stocking of goods, cost-efficient shipping direct to customers and effective processing of returns.

Formulate and recommend manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.

Direct and monitor department, process and employees to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, ability to create operation KPIs or scorecards, safety policies and procedures.

Identify and direct changes to improve productivity and reduce cost, oversee implementation and maintenance of productions standards.

Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.



Education and/or Experience

BA/BS in industrial, operations management or engineering or related discipline required

10-plus years of progressive manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operations. Practical experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and processes. Will have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment. Strong leadership and development skills.



Will oversee 2 manufacturing facilities; Dunkirk and Denton, MD. 60-70% at Dunkirk. Comprehensive benefits and generous bonus (up to 50% of base salary).
