VP of Data Science
Construction
St. Louis, Missouri - 3 days/week hybrid
$250,000 - $275,000 + Bonus + Benefits
THE COMPANY
Harnham is partnering with a storied construction company which is looking for an experienced VP of Data Science. This position will be responsible for the company's data science and analytics transformation across the business. You will operate in a fast-paced environment and own all data science initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the data science transformation initiative, driving efficiency and automation across the business
- Collaborate with various non/technical teams to design and implement data pipelines, ensuring smooth data ingestion, processing, and storage to pave the way for data science applications
- Partner with C-suite to drive analytics initiatives in a succinct and impactful way
- Own optimization initiatives across the enterprise side of the business
- Develop a comprehensive data strategy revolving around several decades of data
- Build the data science and analytics team
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience leading large-scale data science transformation projects in construction, energy, oil & gas or similar fields
- Experience building out teams from scratch or scaling to multiple layers
- Experience partnering directly with C-suite executives
- Technical expertise in machine learning, NLP or deep learning preferred
- Familiar with MLOPs processes for enterprise systems
- Experience working with operational systems to identify data points and enable data analytics
- Proficiency in developing data strategies and roadmaps, aligning them with organizational goals
- Proven leadership skills with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor s required, Advanced Degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
