A major company involved in building maintenance is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to oversee the supply management process for their portfolio of commercial buildings here in NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with employees to gather business requirements and liaise with suppliers to obtain price quotations, negotiating as necessary.
- Guide and assist end users in navigating the purchase requisition process, providing necessary support and direction.
- Initiate communication with both existing and prospective suppliers for quotes, orders, and resolution of any supplier-related inquiries or issues.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of orders, proof of delivery, and invoices to ensure accurate billing to relevant organizations, engaging with all stakeholders as needed.
- Provide essential support to Finance/Accounting department to ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Conduct online research and place orders for unique purchase requirements as per business needs.
- Prepare and analyze financial data and quotations to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Fulfill any additional administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in procurement
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
