Residential Designer
eLoghomes, a leading log home kit manufacturer in the US, is seeking an Architectural Designer with residential construction experience. The company and position are based in Nash County, NC. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in residential home design and 3D modeling, expertise in AutoCAD, and will support the design process and customization of log home packages shipped nationally to our customers. The position reports to the Director of Product Management & Design.
Key responsibilities:
- Completion of preliminary SRTS, construction documents and other related documents in a time and accurate manner.
- Utilize the project management technology of the company.
- Work across the organization to coordinate designs according to the needs of the customer.
- Interact with 3rd party structural engineering firms as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and other 3D computer drafting and modeling software.
- Sketchup & Revit experience a plus.
- Some knowledge of residential building codes preferred.
- Ability to perform material take-offs preferred.
- Experience producing bill of materials a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player & strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Position not required to lift more than 20lbs.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- 3-5 years of drafting experience
Job Type: Full-time:
Salary: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
