Job Details

OverviewUnder general supervision, is responsible for picking, packing and shipping of all inbound and outbound shipments along with the duties associated with shipment preparation. The incumbent prepares bills of lading for freight carriers, assists in loading trucks and obtains signatures on shipments. Responsible for counting & recording material to ensure accuracy of shipment and receipt; performs related duties as required.ResponsibilitiesAssemble orders and prepare goods for shipmentRecord shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availabilityAssists in the handling of materials and items from receiving area to designated bin locationsFacilitates outbound shipments using proper packing methods and 3rd party delivery servicesFulfills orders that are ready for shipment via will call, delivery or installReceive and unpack materials and suppliesReport damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipmentMaintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incomingFills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes accordinglyAllocates product to appropriate rack, shelf or bin location according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, brand or product codePrepare monthly production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing chargesMay possibly perform any of the following functions at the direction of management:Handle hazardous materialsEffectively maneuvers through computer system in order to perform specified dutiesAssists with execution of weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory integrityUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortagesPosts weights and shipping charges and affixes postageMarks materials with identifying informationQualificationsHigh school Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or production experienceExperienced operating power tool equipment including but not limited to cherry picker, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.Previous experience with material handling is requiredWorking knowledge of scanning equipment, internal database tracking system, dollies and cartsBasic computer skillsExcellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a mustAbility to work overtime & meet deadlinesPhysical DemandsPhysical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting and prolonged periods of sitting or standingMay lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Experience operating power tool equipmentIf required to operate a forklift, must be forklift certified and be able to use hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or workWhat We Offer:Competitive pay & benefits!Comprehensive training and development programs that prepare employees to advance from within.A company focused on creating a positive work and client environment.Employee discounts on entertainment, products, and services nationwide!COME JOIN OUR TEAM!Job LocationsUS-PA-Upper DarbyPosted Date2 months ago(3/26/2024 11:52 AM)Requisition ID 2024-17698of Openings 4Category (Portal Searching) Warehouse/ShippingPosition Type (Portal Searching) Regular Full-Time
