Job Details

Starting at $16.64 per hour | First shift

Perform skilled maintenance service and repairs including carpentry, flooring, repairing, modifying, and rebuilding throughout the facility property. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all facility equipment. Monitor, maintain and perform preventive maintenance to all facility systems (HVAC, UPS/generator, fire suppression system, water softeners, hotel laundry equipment and electrical systems). Perform function setups and takedowns. As a Certified Pool Operator, maintain and monitor all functions of pool. Maintain and safely operate all equipment used in Grounds.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility is compliant with applicable local, state and federal regulations, or Tribal MICS related to the facility.
  • Adhere to company's standards levels, assuring that daily work and special projects are completed in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Perform Periodic Maintenance (PM) for all equipment and maintain detailed documentation of all work via logs or CMMS applications.
  • Perform repairs or additions to plumbing systems such as toilet, sink, shower (and shower doors), faucet, valve, water softeners, water heaters, and pool equipment, etc.
  • Perform repairs or addition to electrical systems such as receptacle or switch replacement, interior lighting, parking lot lighting, backup generator systems, UPS systems, etc.
  • Maintain HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing same, changing filters/belts, and perform regularly-scheduled PM work on all facility equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommended frequency schedule.
  • Identify source and repair roof leak situations and/or make provisions to protect interior equipment and furnishings.
  • Perform repairs or additions to Low voltage systems such as, Fire Alarm systems, data or telecom systems, and BAS control systems, etc.
  • Perform repairs or additions that require extensive layout, carpentry, and fabrication skills such as constructing or remodeling office spaces using wood or metal stud framing including insulation/drywall/paint. Design and fabricate displays for the Marketing Department and support structures for the Slots Department.
  • Perform repairs or installation of flooring (carpet, vinyl, or ceramic tile, and ceiling systems (acoustic or drywall).
  • Assist the Slots Department with slot machine relocation and or removal by facilitating the power and data wiring needed for the machines.
  • Monitor new industry trends and technology that could be implemented to improve the maintenance of facility systems.
  • Assist with the inspection of facility systems equipment, as needed.
  • Install, troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair and/or replace facility equipment; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Must take guest service into consideration when doing work in the facility.
  • Maintain inventory stock by arranging for the purchase of necessary supplies, materials, tools and equipment.
  • Must be trained in the safe handling of bio-hazard materials.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Perform daily cleaning of pool/spa, and test or adjust their chemical levels.
  • Perform function setups and takedowns, clean and shampoo carpet in the hotel banquet facilities.
  • Assist Marketing Department with setup and tear down of their season displays, and transport their continuity products when they are delivered or need to be stored.
  • Assist Housekeeping and Grounds Crew with snow removal as assigned.
  • Work with other department managers for any special needs.
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as required.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Facilities Director.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Two years verifiable experience with minor repairs in a commercial building is required.
  • Must maintain a State Certified Pool Operator, or obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Thorough knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trade tools, including hand and power tools, and the ability to use them in a safe and effective manner.
  • The ability to uphold complete confidentiality is required.
  • Must display constant professionalism when representing PCCH.
  • Must work well with people, possess excellent guest service skills and sensitivity to diverse cultures.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • The ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations is necessary.
