Summit Search group has partnered with one of its long standing clients, Petcurean, a premium pet food manufacturer to find a Performance Marketing Manager.
The Performance Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of Petcurean s performance marketing strategy, with a primary focus on e-commerce channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive performance marketing content and advertising strategies, optimizing online advertising campaigns, and maximizing ROI to drive growth in our USA and Canada e-commerce channels.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute data-driven performance marketing strategies to achieve e-commerce sales and revenue goals; oversee the full-funnel digital performance marketing mix in close collaboration with Brand, Communications, Trade Marketing and Sales teams
Oversee Amazon.com and Chewy.com on-platform advertising and keyword strategy, providing hands-on guidance to internal team and agency partners
Oversee content strategy and execution process for websites, e-comm product pages, brand stores, and advertising campaigns
Oversee the planning and execution of online advertising campaigns, including paid search, display, social media advertising, and email marketing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales and Business Intelligence to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives
Stay updated on industry trends, performance marketing best practices, and emerging technologies to implement innovative strategies
Conduct competitor analyses to identify opportunities and threats in the digital landscape
Develop and execute A/B testing and experimentation to optimize advertising performance and user experiences
Financial, Program and Report Management
Define performance measurement frameworks for campaigns and projects, identify KPIs and set goals, lead measurement process and key insights analysis, and recommend strategy optimizations
Manage performance marketing and e-comm on-platform advertising budgets, including recommending allocations across the marketing mix for strongest ROI
Personnel Management
Serve as a day-to-day leader, exuding passion for our brands and the culture in a way that inspires and empowers others to do the same
Establish clear and consistent performance and productivity standards for all direct reports
Ensure that all policies, procedures, and practices are followed by the employee group and agency partners
Communicate expectations on individual performance evaluations and through the performance management program
Continuously strive to improve operational efficiencies and workflows
Is accountable for safe work practices, reflecting due diligence and an understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and promoting safety and maintaining all aspects of policies and procedures
Other Duties
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what s necessary to get the job done and completes other duties as required within the same scope and level.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
3+ years of Amazon advertising and content development experience; Chewy partnership management and advertising experience a plus
A proven track record of being a recognized expert in performance marketing and e-comm advertising, and a strong ability to help educate and develop team members in this area
Experience with e-comm analytics platforms including Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Advertising, Stackline (or equivalent), Helium 10 (or equivalent) etc.; strong ability to synthesize insights and actions out of data
Proficient at developing integrated digital campaigns, with up-to-date knowledge of various channels and reporting platforms such as Google Ads and Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, email marketing software, Demand Generation, Performance Max., etc.
Knowledgeable about digital content development best practices for product detail pages, category pages, brand stores, and advertising
Knowledgeable about Google and Amazon SEO - keyword research, implementation, and performance tracking
2+ years of people management experience
Ability to provide leadership and manage staff collaboratively, utilizing effective team building, communication and management techniques
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to think creatively, adapt to changing trends, and solve complex problems
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving targets and driving growth
Some travel will be required and a valid passport with the ability to go between Canada and the USA is a primary requirement of the role.
