Rockland Trust is seeking a talented and driven BI Developer to join our team!
As a member of the Management Information System (MIS) team, this position works with the Information System (IS) team supporting the Business Intelligence (BI) environment. The experienced BI Developer will utilize the Microsoft stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI) to support the operational, analytical, and data integration needs of the organization. The individual needs to be experienced with SQL based business intelligence platforms, data warehouse design and development, and BI reporting tools.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage projects in the areas of Data Warehousing, ETL Development, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Visualization Responsible for the development, implementation, production support, and performance tuning of the data warehouse and business intelligence reporting environments
- ETL process - assist with development, building, monitoring, maintaining, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity estimation
- Turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions
- Source data from the operational systems and applying the business transformation rules
- Review code to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to standards
- Ensure that best practices are met and maintained with adherence to the SDLC, Change Management and other internal IT controls
- Build fast, reliable, and business focused information systems
Experience Requirements:
- 5-8 years production SQL Server development and support experience required (certifications in Microsoft data technologies may substitute for some experiences)
- Experience with data integration methodologies and tools
- Experience with the design of relational and multidimensional database
- Strong proficiency in performance tuning
- Experience working in Agile methodologies
- Understanding of SDLC lifecycle
- Experience working in Azure Devops (preferred) or similar tools with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation tools
- Prior work with the design of relational and multidimensional databases
- Experience migrating significant data files between mainframe, relational database and other source/targets
