Job Description: This is a machinist position in a manufacturing shop. You will be expected to help with fabrication, programming and machine building. You will be expected to assist with engineering and new product prototyping in addition to operating CNC machines. We are looking for an organized and efficient candidate who can work well with others and is excited about learning new things.
The ideal candidate has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, has good time management skills, and the ability to adapt in evolving work environments. Having the want and willingness to learn and excel is imperative to this position.
Typical Day:
* Program and operate CNC machines
* Assisting other departments as needed (ex: assembling equipment)
* Troubleshooting production issues
* Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements:
* Associates Degree/Certification in Machine Technology or comparable program strongly preferred
* 2+ years of manufacturing experience
* Mechanically inclined
* Basic computer and mathematical skills
* Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, micrometers
* Basic hand and power tool experience
* Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
