Job Details
Our client provides specialized surface treatments, chemical finishing and non-destructive testing to the aerospace and defense industry. They hold processing approvals for every major airframe manufacturer (Boeing) and process parts for a base of over 600 customers worldwide.
Support current lab personnel by prepping, cutting, setting, polishing, and inspecting plated samples for various criteria.
Responsibilities
Review and perform required daily, weekly, or monthly physical lab testing as per the required procedures and work instructions
Inspect and document results
Reviewing test data of other Laboratory personnel and document as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be comfortable learning and using equipment such as a tabletop lab saw, polisher, micro-hardness tester
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Must have excellent communication skills
Reliable and dependable attendance
Read/Write/Communicate in English

Education/Previous Experience Requirements:
Chemistry or metallurgical experience preferred but not required
Desire to work in the Aerospace and Defense industry including learning processing, specifications, and equipment used throughout the facility.
