CalWest's client school in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks two 1st/2nd Grade Teachers to begin in August 2024.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree required
Advanced degree highly preferred
Experience working with children is required
Two years or more of teaching experience is preferred
Experience with responsive classroom and restorative practice
Experience with project based and experiential learning environments

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a co-teacher to lead a combined class that fosters an environment where students feel supported to respect themselves, take intellectual risks, and develop respect and empathy for others
Collaborate with a co-teacher to provide integrated multi-subject instruction
Lead a small Elementary, Middle School, or High School leveled math class
Offer an elective on a topic that excites both you and the students
Participate in our camping program, which includes overnight trips twice per year
Collaborate with administration and other grade-band teachers to continuously enhance and adapt our theme based expeditionary curriculum
