It's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly changing world.About the roleThe Injection Mold Operator I will primarily be responsible for in-process inspection of injection molded components and conducting material movement of completed components and cleaning of auxiliary equipment. This position works under direct supervision. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc.ResponsibilitiesPerforms in-process inspection of injection molded components which includes visual inspection and/or dimensional measurement for conformance to requirements defined on drawings, Standard Inspection Plans, Visual Factory or other documentsWeigh count and stage transacted molded materials for put-awayRemoves scrap and trash from manufacturing areasGenerates production, move and scrap transactions as needed to ensure inventory accuracyClean auxiliary equipment that supports Injection Mold processQualificationsAbility to read, understand, and navigate through online assembly process documents Ability to perform inventory movement transactionsUnderstanding of basic math skills adding, subtracting and measuringAbility to read drawings & blueprints Ability to safely prepare, operate and clean auxiliary equipment as appropriate for the successful completion of injection molding tasksAbility to communicate effectively and follow instructions both verbally and in written formatAbility to use judgement to identify potential safety hazardsAbility to use judgment related to identifying and segregating non-conforming materials and componentsAbility to work effectively in a team oriented environmentAbility to multi-taskWork Environment/Physical Demands:This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employeesWork is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be wornEye and foot protection may have to be wornThere is potential for lifting weights up to 45 lbs.There is potential exposure to extreme temperaturesThe occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordinationMay stand or sit for prolonged periods of time**This is designated as a Safety Sensitive position**Education & ExperienceHigh School education or GED preferredMinimum three (3) months experience in a manufacturing environment as an assembler, quality control or injection mold positionPrevious injection molding experience preferredWhat We OfferComprehensive benefits include:Medical (with an HSA option), Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date401(k) Program with employer matching contributions.
