At Misfits Market, our customers choose us for what we - quite literally - bring to the table: foods that may look a little different but are still fresh and safe to eat. The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for verifying that all outbound customer orders have been fulfilled accurately.

The Quality Assurance Associate reports to the Quality Supervisor and is an important member of the operations team. By prioritizing quality and accuracy in the warehouse, the QA Associate ensures that our customers continue to receive the high quality, delicious, and affordable food they love.

What you'll be doing:
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of outbound customer orders including missing, damaged, or improperly packed items.
  • Identifies and reports any potential food safety or quality problems, immediately escalating to the Lead and/or Supervisor.
  • Uses heatmap data to identify and address packing errors upstream in the production line.
  • Documents and maintains legible, accurate records of all picking errors in the warehouse including missing, damaged, and out-of-stock items.
  • Performs basic mathematical computations when conducting QA audits or inspections.
  • Effectively manages time and changing priorities to minimize downtime on the production line.
What you have:
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience or comfort with working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees)
  • Strong verbal communications skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends if the business needs you to
  • Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
Nice for you to have:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Experience working in a food based environment
