General Job Description - Assistant Rental Manager

Important: We are not hiring seasonally for this position. Must be able to work full-time during store hours

Job Summary:

The Assistant Rental Manager helps guide the operation of our rental department, acting as the supporting role for the Rental Manager. This successful candidate is great at multi- tasking, enjoys working with others and can keep calm when working in a fast-paced environment. With a focus on customer service, the Assistant Rental Manager must exhibit a calm and composed demeanor, capable of following directions and able to ensure the highest level of support for the rental department.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide outstanding customer service by recommending appropriate equipment for rent or purchase
  • Setup reservations, process contracts efficiently, ensuring all details are accurate
  • Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment
  • Loading/Unloading and strapping customer rentals
  • Identify when equipment needs to be repaired
  • Operate BisTrack POS and Alert Rental
  • Write up Works Orders, PO's and Special Orders
  • Work with Rental Manager to help train staff
  • Assist the Rental Manager in ensuring that shop staff adhere to their daily duties

    and stay on schedule
  • Maintain a clean and organized rental department including the shop/shop tools
  • Deliver equipment to and from customer job sites
  • Apply logic and have critical thinking skills
  • Equipment assembly

    Knowledge Desired:
  • Mechanical knowledge in: rental equipment, power tools & small engines
  • Transporting Equipment with a tandem axel/gooseneck
  • Power Equipment knowledge
  • Customer Service and Sales


Working Conditions:

Environment with varying temperature and weather conditions.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug test *
  • Valid driver's license
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds with absence of physical limitations
