Your role in helping us shape the future:

U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to help people make smart decisions in their everyday lives. The Research Manager, 360 Reviews will lead a team of dedicated analysts within the Insurance, Home Services, B2B, Home Goods, and Tech/Privacy sectors to deploy and improve upon the team's process for delivering unbiased, data-driven ratings and reviews. The 360 Reviews team operates as a startup within the larger U.S. News organization, giving it a fast-moving, innovative culture, along with the editorial ethos of an established media company.

Collaborating with a team of editors, product managers, digital producers and software developers, the Research Manager will have the opportunity to oversee how we convey the methodologies of our products and services to people who visit our website.

Are you up to the challenge?

* Define and own research calendar for 50+ annual rankings launches within the 360 Reviews group while maintaining efficiency and quality standards

* Manage a team of 4 research analysts to execute against the research calendar of rankings launches

* Develop, oversee and optimize the proprietary methodologies, data gathering, processes, and improvements for US News's 360 Reviews consumer rankings and ratings

* Conduct research to source data collection and develop statistical algorithms that can turn data into actionable information, and help tell a story for consumers

* Demonstrate a strong familiarity with the affiliate industry, as well as the ability to create new rankings products and improve existing ones in collaboration with our editorial, technology, design, and business teams

* Execute on conducting surveys to gather consumer insights in a variety of categories, including insurance, commerce, B2B, and more and incorporating feedback into articles

* Cultivate relationships with data providers and identify new partners to support and improve our rankings projects

* Implement processes and systems to ensure that all rankings leverage best practices for data management and quality assurance

* Have strong Excel/Google Sheets data analysis skills and the ability to pinpoint and fix small errors in spreadsheets

* Provide the licensing team with final data and rankings and troubleshoot any queries

* Be the point of contact for any major methodology changes with the legal team.
