We are currently working with a fast growing, locally owned Kansas City company to find a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to help streamline and optimize their business.

Responsibilities:
- Checking and tracking inventory, utilizing both manual methods and the upcoming NetSuite system.
- Tracking product movement and overseeing purchasing processes.
- Obtaining bids on containers and managing the logistics of shipments domestic and internationally.
- Researching outdated products and facilitating their removal from warehouses.
- Identifying slow-moving stock and coordinating its transfer.
- Collaborating closely with warehouse managers and inventory crews, both locally and overseas.
- Spending 20 hours per week focused on purchasing and 20 hours per week on inventory management tasks.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in purchasing and/or inventory management.
- Experience with NetSuite system, a plus!
- Self-motivated and eager to advance their career.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Team player who is ready to contribute to various departments.
- Natural leadership abilities with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and lift somewhat large and heavy items.
