Fire Investigator / Forensic Electrical Engineer - Mostly remote but need someone in Massachusetts or nearby New England states: Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine that can visit a site to investigate cause of fire as needed.

What You'll Be Doing


  • Performing forensic examination of various electro-mechanical devices.
  • Assisting with both small-scale and extensive commercial fire investigations.
  • Writing expert reports and summarizing lab examination findings.
  • Designing test fixtures and conducting tests in a state-of-the-art laboratory.


About You


  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Hold at least 5 years of commercial electrical engineering experience.
  • Skilled in failure/root cause analysis.
  • Possess outstanding communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with a laboratory environment and test procedures.


Benefits


  • Target base salary of $120-150k but there may be some flexibility to go higher based on experience. This role also comes with a bonus. Just let me know what you need and I'll ask.
