SAN Agrow is the plant protection business unit of SAN Group. SAN Agrow contributes to sustainable agriculture by providing biotechnological crop protection, nutrients, and biostimulants. With successful products based on microorganisms or plant extracts, we contribute to more sustainable agriculture. Through in-house R+D, we gain new insights in the areas of microbial biocontrol agents, microbial fermentations, plant extracts, bio stimulants, as well as plant nutrition. In this way we create new products for expanding our portfolio for conventional and organic farming.

Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the implementation of the Regional Business Unit (RBU) structure and teams, and lead business development, marketing, and technical activities within the region, to support the business development of SAN Group's Global Business Units (GBU), considering top goals and strategies established in the strategic plans and budgets.


These are the tasks we trust in you:

  • Develop a cross-GBU portfolio strategy together with the Global Sales Directors to support the business development of all Global Business Units within the region, to capture strategies, and to optimize resources.
  • Develop medium to long-term business plans in alignment with the GBU strategies (prioritize countries/regions) and prepare regional strategies and initiatives to create new leads.
  • Establish sales objectives and KPIs in alignment with the GBU strategies and assign sales targets to different countries and areas, considering sales volume, product mix, and selling price, according to budget.
  • Foster a culture to have customer focus and understand customer needs to offer a value proposition, with appropriate solutions, services, and products to support customer's performance and SAN Group's growth strategy.
  • Ensure customers have the best possible experience, through products and services, and high-quality customer service support.
  • Ensure alignment of all marketing activities and produced content with global marketing teams, according to global marketing strategy, corporate policies, visual identity, marketing framework and GBUs Roadmaps.
  • Ensure, in cooperation with Marketing, Sales, and technical teams, the development of materials to support the launch and promotion of products & services to prospects and customers (needed materials to support sales cycle from awareness to action).
  • Ensure proper use of CRM to register relevant sales activities, register accurate information about customers to support events organization, promotional campaigns, and communication with target audiences.


To grow in this position, it requires the following:

  • Agriculture industry experience, required
  • Life sciences or Business academical background
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in Sales, business development or business area
  • Strong experience leading, developing, and motivating teams
  • Hunting spirit, chasing business opportunities, sales and profit driven
  • Always wants to defend and expand existing business
  • Always looking for the change to conquer markets
  • Goes the extra mile to fulfill and exceed expectations & budgets
  • MSc or MBA is desirable
  • Fluent in Advanced English (required)
  • Self-motivated, with a can-do attitude

  • You are rooted in Western, U.S.
  • Travel within U.S. and Canada, required. On occasion, travel abroad.
  • We appreciate your expertise for 40 hours/week.
  • This position is available immediately however, we are happy to consider your notice period or your desired start date.
  • Based on your professional experience and your qualification, we offer you an attractive total compensation package ranging from $190,000 - $200,000 (USD) gross annual base salary, plus attractive benefits.
