The Role: The primary purpose of this position is to provide interior design assistance on new construction projects, brand standards, and maintenance of the Brand Philosophy. This position reviews drawings (Concept Boards, 60% and 90%) and FF&E specifications for Cambria Hotels projects both prototypical and custom. This position works with vendors to source FF&E and finish specifications. Provides interior design support to the Design + Construction team, Brand, and Operations team. Helps Franchisees identify their purchasing needs for hotel products and services and ensures those are in line with the brand standards. This position will possess experience and knowledge of commonly used interior design concepts, practices, pricing, and procedures within the hospitality industry. Primary Duties & Accountabilities: Reviews all interior design drawings, FF&E, and finish specifications for Cambria building projects; including Concept Boards, 60% and 90% submittals. Reviews model room for all custom or semi-custom projects for functionality, compliance with Brand Standards, quality, and operational functionality. Supports the development and maintenance of the Interior Design Standard items for prototype drawings, FF&E specifications, finish specifications, and interior design resources. Maintains programs and pricing with vendors for Cambria prototype items. Works with Interior Design consulting firms, vendors, and the Design team to value engineer or evaluate products for cost savings. Supports interior design project review effort with professionals and franchisees regarding their inquiries as related to ID products and specifications. Works with vendors to source FF&E & finish specifications and samples of products for interior design packages. Manages the updates to the Cambria Sample Model Room, including coordination and installation of any new FF&E or finishes. Conducts bi-weekly Design Committee meeting to review custom projects with key stakeholders. Skills, Educational Background & Experience: Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, or related field Minimum 2 - 4 years relevant work experience 1 - 2 years of project management experience is preferred Strong knowledge and proficiency of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Bluebeam. AutoCAD proficiency is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Capable knowledge of construction and prototype plans; furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) specifications; and interior design cost modules Strong competency skills in customer service, decision-making, analysis and problem solving, priority setting and time management Must be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Detail oriented and strong organizational ability High integrity and ability to work independently Must be able to uphold Choices Values & Performance Principles of collaboration, performance excellence, sense of urgency, openness to new ideas, inclusion & diversity, integrity, customer focus, and respect Ability to travel up to 20% of time
