Basic Job Functions:
Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US, Inc. manufactures and distributes engineered fasteners under the SPAX brand for the construction market, TRUFAST for the commercial roofing industry and TRUFASTWalls for exterior building envelopes and facades. The Production Manager has strategic and tactical leadership responsibility and accountability for all personnel and operations for heat treat and packing processes located at the Pioneer Facility. Core expectations of this position include meeting/exceeding operating objectives and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Experience:
5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a production environment
Education:
Associate degree preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Directly manage and support shift supervision while maintaining full leadership responsibilities for the Pioneer facility including packaging and heat treatment.
Personalize company and department objectives to support the overall vision and planning processes
Maintain communication within the department through regular departmental meetings
Ensure communication between ABC Operational areas are always maintained
Develop personal and professional talent across all production areas
Provide support for issue resolution for all production associates
Production Process Management:
Maintain and improve department production process and increase productivity metrics by partnering with support staff departments (Operational Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, etc.)
Oversee daily/weekly production flow by coordinating labor needs and resource requirements
Deploy proper resources to troubleshoot operator presented and personally observed issues
Knowledge of ISO & Training procedures relevant to departments
Process & Training Development
Support and collaborate with process engineering to develop and continually improve production processes.
Recommend and manage labor to optimize staffing resources, this may include developing /installing automation to optimize the process.
Maintain associate training - train all associates on concepts, ISO standards and operations within the organization
Increase job knowledge of concepts through continual education. Attend appropriate outside training opportunities or trade shows to be knowledgeable relevant production capabilities
Travel:
Travel to the Bryan facility for regular meetings or ad hoc needs will be required.
Physical Requirements:
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 40 pounds.
