Overview:

We are seeking a driven individual to assume the role of Principal Technical Instructor/Senior Principal Technical Instructor, responsible for fulfilling customer training needs related to electronic systems, sensors, and radars.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update training curriculum in adherence to Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and military standards, including but not limited to: +Training Program Plan +Job Task Analysis +Curriculum Outline of Instruction +Test Package +Lesson Plans +Trainee Guides +Job Aides.
  • Conduct In-Process Reviews and develop Trainee and Training Course Completion Data.
  • Attain proficiency in system operation and maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver both classroom and hands-on training to customer operators and maintainers.
  • Travel as required (up to an estimated 25% of the time) to facilitate and conduct training activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with program and customer personnel to achieve training objectives.
  • Provide support for Integration & Test tasks at both the assembly and System level.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience OR Ph.D. with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; Alternatively, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with maintenance and/or operation of electronic systems, sensors, and radars.
  • Completion of military curriculum developer courses, military formal school instructor course, or equivalent industry-recognized training instructor program.
  • At least 3 years' experience in implementing MIL-PRF-29612 Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training or equivalent military specification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an instructor of military electronic system maintainers and/or operators.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capable and willing to perform physically demanding hands-on training tasks in extreme environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support training activities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented matrix (IPT) environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience serving as an electronic systems, sensors, or radar crew chief or maintenance chief, or in a leadership capacity as an operator team leader.
  • Minimum of 8 years' hands-on experience in maintenance and/or operation of electronic systems, sensors, and radars.
  • Previous tenure as a certified Naval Instructor of Air Force instructor, demonstrating proficiency in instructional techniques and methodologies.
  • Background in US military training development and instructional experience, indicating familiarity with military training protocols and standards.
  • Proficiency in SCORM courseware development, along with expertise in courseware media development encompassing graphics, audio, and HTML5, showcasing the ability to create engaging and effective training materials utilizing modern multimedia technologies.
