NOTES:


  • Chemistry Development / Clinical Assay, On-Market Support
  • Lab experience in the execution and documentation of experiments.
  • Experimental design, execution, interpretation, and communication of results.
  • NGS library prep assay / workflow expertise.
  • Company sequencing platforms hands-on experience.
  • Basic level of molecular biology preferred.
  • 2 year related experience (Bachelor's Degree) or equivalent experience with advanced degree.
  • Comfort with fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Teamwork/collaboration.
  • Adaptability.
  • 40 hr / week; 8am-5pm (traditional w/ flexibility)

Summary

  • Company is in search of a skilled individual to join the Assay On-Market Support and Development team on a contract basis. As a member of this team, you ll engage with various Company library prep products, alongside sequencing and analysis platforms. This role hinges on a solid foundation in molecular biology and a comprehensive understanding of Company or NGS library prep techniques.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs and performs experiments of varying complexity and across a broad array of techniques, foresees issues and works to overcome obstacles to completing tasks or assignments, conceives of new ways to analyze the data and present it
  • Makes detailed technical observations and documents them in laboratory notebooks and confluence pages, etc.
  • Plans, conducts, summarizes, reports consistent conclusions, and generates recommendations for follow up experiments and may suggest alternate strategies
  • Takes responsibility delivering consistency and quality of data collection, establishes criteria and / or work procedures to achieve a high level of quality and productivity

Position Requirements:

  • Able to readily apply experiential knowledge to develop new or adapt existing technology and processes; mastering some relevant area
  • Highly proficient, productive, and effective in the lab
  • Direct experience with execution of NGS library prep assays and workflows are highly preferred
  • Ability to design complex experiments containing appropriate controls to anticipate potential problems; able to troubleshoot issues
  • Able to draw sound conclusions from complex experiment data sets
  • Strong knowledge of a breadth of standard methods used in the department
  • Strong ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines with team members and internal customers
  • Communicate effectively in various environments with different stakeholders; tailoring communications and presentations as necessary

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
