Description
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing building maintenance and construction tasks.
- Wall framing using metal and wood studs.
- Drywall installation, finish and texture.
- Trim carpentry, cabinet design and construction.
- Interior and exterior painting.
- Demolition.
- Ceiling grid and tile installation and rework.
- Door and hardware installation.
- Metal building roofing and siding.
- Troubleshoot and repair items relating to buildings and grounds.
- Read and execute construction drawings to design, layout, do take-offs and estimate projects.
- Work with Sub Contractors.
- Be familiar with OSHA Construction Standards.
- Organize and plan and complete assigned construction projects on schedule.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Education and Skills:- High school education or equivalent is required, supplemented with technical college, vocational training.
- Must be proficient in construction trades to complete tasks shown in Position Responsibilities
- Ability to read and speak English is preferred.
- Mathematical skills equivalent to high school level required.
- Previous mechanical experience preferred.
- Highly motivated, self-driven individual with a strong desire to succeed.
- Must be able to communicate, both in written and verbal form, effectively with supervisors and co-workers. Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential job functions.
