Role and Responsibilities
Fork Truck Operators must safely handle materials using powered mobile equipment as directed by plant management in accordance with established company policy. Inventories of
raw materials and finished goods must be maintained according to standard operating
procedures established by plant management.
Daily Activities
- Unloading trucks of baled aluminum and loading gaylord boxes of shredded aluminum in box trailers.
- Fork Truck Operators will also be responsible for moving baled material to the shredder as needed.
- Finished goods packaging may be required.
- Equipment Operators must inspect the powered mobile equipment daily and submit theappropriate reports to plant management. Discrepancies must be reported immediately.
- Housekeeping tasks are a daily requirement.
- During maintenance periods, laborers must assist maintenance personnel as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School or GED
