Business Development Representative Intern

Eclipse Capital is a based startup providing businesses with fast alternative funding solutions. We are actively seeking a resourceful and determined Business Development Intern On-Site in our Fair Haven, NJ office for the Summer term. This role will contribute significantly towards molding our marketing approach and bolstering our sales and partnership network. The selected intern will closely collaborate with our founders on high-stakes projects, gaining substantial experience and knowledge.


While we primarily target undergraduate students with a focus on business studies, we warmly welcome applications from exceptionally talented undergraduates from other disciplines.


Compensation: $7,500 - $10,000 per month.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceiving and implementing business strategies to foster growth for our startup
  • Carrying out comprehensive industry and market research
  • Generating leads and coordinating outreach activities for prospective customers and partnerships
  • Establishing and managing a pipeline of potential clients
  • Participating in the formulation and execution of sales and marketing initiatives
  • Assisting the team in creating compelling sales proposals and presentations

  • Exhibits humility, drive for impact, and enthusiasm for the dynamic startup culture, showcasing adaptability to take on varied roles during the internship
  • Shows commitment to data-driven research, willing to experiment and possesses problem-solving abilities to address intricate, open-ended challenges
  • Comfortable with outbound sales activities, including proficiency in using CRMs, making cold calls/emails, etc.
  • Exceptional communicator and adept at using Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be humble, impact driven, and passionate about startup work, showing the flexibility to take on different roles throughout the internship
  • Show a commitment to data-driven research and experimentation with the problem-solving skills to tackle messy open-ended questions
  • Be comfortable with outbound sales, including working in CRMs, cold calls/emails, etc
  • Be an excellent communicator and strong with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
