Come join us to experience all the reasons why we were voted one of The Washington Business Journal s Best Places to Work!ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Vice President of Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting and overseeing multiple renovation projects through design and construction, including both government and private sector projects. Critical functions include managing activities in the pre-construction, construction and close-out processes, with specific emphasis on:Serving as a liasion with other project team members and tenantsReviewing and updating Design & Construction manualsSelecting/hiring/managing consultants, engineers, architects and designersMonitoring schedules and approvalsWorking with local jurisdictions to procure permitsDeveloping bid lists and managing project costsDesigning schedules and developing contracts and tenant work lettersIdentifying and mitigating risks associated schedules and budgetsQualificationsA Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of education. Minimum of 2 years of experience working on commercial or hotel construction projects.Proven experience reading and understanding blueprints, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and communicating effectively (written and verbal) with stakeholders.
