Role overview
As the Director of Merchandising at ThreadBeast, you will helm the comprehensive merchandising spectrum, encompassing product development, procurement, strategic planning, pricing, and digital merchandising initiatives. This pivotal leadership position demands a unique fusion of creative flair and analytical rigor, tasked with steering our merchandising strategies to resonate with ThreadBeast's ambitious objectives. Positioned directly under the CEO, you will spearhead the merchandising team's efforts, fostering synergies with the marketing, supply chain, and e-commerce divisions to devise and execute integrated merchandising blueprints.
This full-time position is based in Los Angeles, CA, offering a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. The Director of Merchandising will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product offerings, driving the strategic direction of our merchandising efforts to align with consumer trends, and ensuring our brand remains at the forefront of the streetwear and lifestyle fashion industry.
In this role, you will:
- Drive product lifecycle vision, react to sales trends, market impacts, and drive our inventory
- Oversee buying and product development activities while managing OTB seasonally
- Analyze sales performance and customer feedback for assortment adjustments
- Communicate strategies and insights to senior leadership
- Collaborate with marketing teams
- Lead, develop, and mentor the merchandising team
- Monitor and optimize budgets, manage resources to maximize ROI
- Strategize long and short-term merchandising goals
- Develop and ensure execution of Merchandising strategies
- Strategically interpret and align consumer insight to all aspects of the business
- Drive and execute product assortment strategies to deliver sales and margin forecasts
- Present product strategy assortment to Senior Leadership monthly
- Drive the merchandising calendar to meet crucial dates and hold the team accountable
- Lead weekly and monthly financial review meetings, identifying corrective action necessary to maximize sales and margin
- Drive financial forecasting of the business, partnering with Planning Leaders
We are looking for:
- 7+ years of merchandising experience in fashion/streetwear environment.
- Experience managing a merchandising team and building incremental business.
- Strong understanding of the young men s market, fashion trends, and consumer behavior.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Elevated taste level for brand representation.
- Strategic thinker with actionable business plan translation ability.
- Bachelor s degree in Fashion, Business, or related field.
