As a Senior Accountant you will support our Finance team through performing routine financial and accounting tasks. This individual should have a successful track record of operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
On a typical day, you will be working on:
Facilitating and completing monthly close procedures related to A/P and A/R and additional areas as assigned including: leases, prepaid expenses, accruals, and expense allocations
Assist with completing monthly bank reconciliations
Preparing month end invoicing to send to clients
Assisting with the preparation of external audit documentation and other ad hoc projects
Preparing for year-end audits
Supervising and reviewing the work of a group of employees engaged in accounting or auditing related activities and assist in training of entry-level accountants and clerical personnel
Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial package
Filing and retrieving documents and reference materials
Conduct research, collect, and analyze data to prepare reports and documents.
Liaise with internal staff at all levels
Interacting with clients
Coordinating project-based work
Requirements
Who you are:
1 - 3 years of accounting experience in public accounting or within operational accounting functions including month-end close process
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent working experience
Strong, effective communication in a professional work environment, both verbal and written (including ability to communicate accounting concepts to non-accounting team members)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups), proficient with other MS Office applications
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities with a positive attitude to get the work completed and meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
High level of verbal and written communication skills
Discretion and confidentiality is imperative
Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures
Excellent organization skills
ERP system experience is a plus
