TEX of S.F. Bay Area has an immediate opening for a Laundry Care Attendant We are a disaster restoration company that provides emergency services to those who have suffered damages to their clothing/textiles due to water, fire, and/or mold.
We are looking to train the right person who is hard working, reliable, and able to function in a fast-paced working environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash and fold clothing.
- Sort articles of clothing to be cleaned by fabric type, color, and cleaning technique.
- Understand and use of proper drying method for safe handling of each garment.
- Add detergent, bleach, and other chemicals to laundry machines.
- Inspect articles of clothing for stains and fabrics that require special care.
- Maintain all laundry equipment.
- Follow directions and washing instruction detailed on each individual garment.
- Knowledge of stain treatment to remove stains.
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies.
- Have the ability to work overtime, if needed.
Qualifications- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
- Knowledge of fabrics.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Ability to bend and kneel.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently.
Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
