Job Details

Proficient at laying out header and running SCH40 black/galvanized pipe.

Proficient at tube bending.

Proficient at laying out header and sweating L series copper.

Proficient at laying out header and running SCH80 PVC pipe

Reads blueprints to interpret and implement pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams to assemble and pipe mechanical assemblies.

Maintains application skills for J.I.C. pipefitting specifications.

Sets working pressures, valve sequencing, hydraulic pressures, etc. Familiar with component functions (hydraulic and pneumatic valves, check valves, ball valves, FRL's, etc.)

Makes sure that all changes are marked in drawings.

Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.

Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Assures a clean work area.

Has own tools and PPE.

Skills:

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education required:

One-year certificate from college or technical school; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience required:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
