Duties/Responsibilities

Participate in orthopedic patient care as an active member of the clinical and surgical team; attend clinics, assist on surgical cases, and perform pediatric orthopedic surgical procedures under the direct supervision and to the satisfaction of a medical staff member, as assigned, and makes daily rounds on all inpatients
Demonstrate basic medical knowledge of pediatric orthopedics, along with appropriate clinical skills and judgment, and surgical technique
Participate in educational activities of Scottish Rite for Children such as case conferences, symposia, and professional educational meetings, including education of residents, paramedical, and technical personnel, as assigned
Dictate, complete and/or sign medical records, forms, and letters related to patients treated by the Fellow in an accurate and timely manner
Participate in mortality and morbidity conferences and performance improvement activities as assigned
Perform On-Call duties on nights and weekends as required
Abide by all Scottish Rite policies and procedures and medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations
Requires frequent use of various and sundry surgical/clinical equipment

Required Skills/Abilities

Medical school graduate who has completed a residency in orthopedic surgery
