The W arehouse A ssociate performs daily warehouse ticket pulling, receiving, stocking and put away activities while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

* R eceive and put away stock material accurately and in a timely fashion .

* Ensure outgoing freight is shipped efficiently each day.

* Handle returned goods properly and promptly.

* Handle customer returns and credits in a timely fashion.

* Maintain clean and safe work area, including delivery vehicles.

* Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks of warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.

Additional Responsibilitie s

* Actively participate in and contribute to Mayers Continuous Quality Improvement efforts.

* Complete assigned training in a timely manner.

* May participate in or assist with physical inventory preparation or process.

* Demonstrate commitment to Mayers core values and vision to be First Choice with our suppliers, customers, and associates.

* Complete all other appropriate tasks or duties assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities

* Ability to read and write.

* Basic math skills

* Ability to accurately pull the correct items.

* Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.

* Good organizational skills , attention to detail , problem-solving and time-management skills .

* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team.

Qualifications

Minimu m Requirements :

* Some high school

Desired Qualifications :

* High school diploma

* Forklift operation experience

Other

Work Environment:

* The W arehouse A ssociate works in a warehouse or loading dock area . May drive forklifts or operate pallet jacks.

* The associate m ay be exposed to fumes, odors, and/or dust.

* Temperatures in the work environment may vary between cold and hot depending upon the season.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to walk throughout warehouse and access storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, bending, and reaching.

* Must be able to climb ladders.

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs., and push and pull up to 300 lbs.

Travel Requirements:

* Overnight travel may be required on occasion to attend training.
