POSITION TITLE: Graphic Designer - Create

ASSIGNMENT CLARIFICATION:

This position/assignment is temporary. You will be considered an employee of System One, our 3rd party partner of our contractor population, and/or of your specific freelance agency.

POSITION SUMMARY:

In partnership with the Art Director - Create, you will be responsible for designing and releasing all AE print collateral, including store signage, DM, OOH/Ads, coupons, handouts, etc. You will manage the maintenance and edits to the Seasonal Style Guide to track all final assets. You will be hands on during floorset build weeks printing, cutting and handing off to-scale assets for sign-off. You will also support the Concept team as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • First priority is to elevate the brand projection by focusing on consistency, aesthetic and technical excellence in the creation and release of all assigned projects.
  • Plan, build and execute store interior overviews and individual files through partnership with Brand Activation, Store Experience and VM team.
  • Produce and supply artwork to Store Experience team and Lead Lab Associates during seasonal sign-off weeks (Walkthrough process)
    • Participate in all Floorset Check-in meetings on-site (unless otherwise directed)
    • Print, cut and support the physical build and placement of signage during build weeks.
  • Concept and creation of yearly/bi-yearly denim navigation kits
    • Work with Store Experience and VM teams to solve into wall elevations and merchandising scenarios
    • Actively participate in ideation, refinement and execution of kit
    • Support the Art Director - Create in building presentations for review and approval
  • Special store projects, DM, OOH/Ads, coupons, handouts as assigned.
  • Seasonal testing signage as assigned.
  • Update Seasonal Style Guide with all final projects as completed.
  • Support A. Art Director - Concept in full-scale building of window concepts in window room for seasonal sign-offs. Support internal projects, including decks and overviews.
  • Track schedule of all assigned projects to ensure deadlines are met for review meetings and release dates. Work through scheduling concerns and roadblocks with manager.
  • Route and review all assigned projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner closely with the Graphic Designer - Print Production during spec builds and release.
    • - Proof and review all routing packets to ensure flawless release.
  • Research current design and graphic trends in art and design, fashion, retail and marketing. Share inspiration with team. Create and maintain a positive environment for full cross-functional team; key focus on collaboration between all team members. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 2-6 years experience as a graphic designer in a retail or agency environment (or equivalent experience, portfolio and/or abilities) Expert level of knowledge in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign)
  • Active listening & solution-oriented thinking; empathy
  • Clear, concise and purposeful visual & verbal communication style
  • A passion for the work and ability to present effectively to cross-functional team members
  • A self-starter with a keen eye for design; drive to collaborate and inspire
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, time-management and planning skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail- and deadline-oriented environment with the ability to drive productive and positive conversations


PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:
  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
