Position Details

The Department of Communication in the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors to teach journalism courses, such as, but not limited to, reporting and writing, photojournalism, multimedia journalism, sports writing, environmental journalism, broadcast journalism and introduction to journalism.

Responsibilities include:

1. Teach one or more 4-hour courses per semester.

2. Create an individual syllabus with meeting times and specific assignments for students.

3. Mentor students regarding their assignments.

4. Manage and maintain the online grading system.

The successful candidate will have:

1. A minimum of a Master's Degree in journalism or a related discipline.

2. Professional experience in journalism.

3. Some teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
