**The Impact Youll Make in this Role**
As an EHS Material Handler you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will be required to have knowledge of site operations, manufacturing processes, and materials. Job Responsibilities include:
* Controls disposal of all facility hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
* Ensures all waste shipments have proper packaging, approved waste streams and proper labeling.
* Prepares all waste shipments and manifests.
* Assist with EHS administrative duties for Hazwaste, Industrial Hygiene and other reporting needs
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
* Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* *Work, overtime, and occasional rotating shifts*
* *Operation of powered mobile equipment consistently in tight quarters.*
* *On-site transport of hazardous waste containers, requiring operation of a forklift.*
* *Must be proficient in math and use of common software applications (e.g., Microsoft OfficeTM).*
* *Must possess knowledge of chemicals used in facility and their respective hazards.*
* *Understanding of receiving, transferring, packing, labeling, shipping, and handling of hazardous waste; knowledge of EHS regulations and practices, and knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry are desired.*
