**Description**
**Summary**
Responsible for procuring and managing the inventory and service levels to meet the needs of the customer and corporate goals.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
- Review daily recommended orders and alerts to approve and create purchase orders.
- Monitor daily booked orders, insufficient quantities and out of stock lists.
- Monitor inbound appointment/delivery schedule to ensure deliveries arrive and are received timely.
- Purchase promotional items and seasonal items in coordination with ads.
- Drive profitability through forward buys and reduce cost through annual reviews of purchasing brackets and order efficiencies.
- Participate in weekly department meeting.
- Assist retailers, vendors, and external partners.
- Monitor product availability from vendors according to seasonality and promotions.
- Monitor weekly forecast and report variances to the Category Management team.
- Monitor excess inventory weekly and meet with Category Manager to develop a plan to eliminate.
- Responsible for maintaining company set service level and turn goals.
**Education and/or Experience**
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Other Skills and Abilities**
* Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite specifically Excel and Word.
* Self-motivate with follow through skills to complete tasks.
* Operate harmoniously and cooperatively with others within and outside of department. Must promote a positive work environment.
