POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:

As Global CI & Project Manager, you will fill an exciting role in driving the Continuous Improvement culture within the Global Warehousing team. You will be responsible for overseeing key operational projects, and support CI initiatives across the Lovisa Warehousing footprint. This role will work alongside Global Warehousing Directors in Europe/Africa, APAC and the Americas. Improvement projects will cover all function of both warehousing stock and non-stock. Non-stock will encompass, fixtures and fittings, the flow of marketing and consumable stock.

If this role was to be broken down into two parts, it will be the following. (a) Collating the current state - focus on leading the creation of systems to allow the Warehousing Teams Global to 'see the current state' and hence promote a culture of 'seeing our problems; (b) Facilitating the Future and Ideal States - running sustainable programs that allow teams to develop via LEAN LIFTS and CI systems, improvement steps both incremental and revolutionary that will drive down cost and drive up, customer service levels. The Global Continuous Improvement & Project Manager will be responsible for "creating a cost-effective global warehouse supply chain that will support the growth of Lovisa stores in the region."
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The role is strategic in nature and provides leadership to the teams in all Lovisa DC regions. Its focus falls into 5 main

Build World Class Channels - TEAMWORK & CAN DO

  • Transform & challenge online cost to serve both DCs and transport.

Empower Lean & Visualise the Supply Chain - CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & DO IT NOW
  • Elevate LEAN Boards to ensure service and cost control is visualized.
  • Establish Continuous Improvement on key processes via KPI trees.
  • Introduce LEAN & SMART factory thinking throughout current processes.
  • Plan and Implement LEAN LIFT events as needed.
On a Tactical Level, the role will also have oversight on the following.
Staff Development around Standard Work:
  • Looking for Global DC best-in-class practices. Enable the ability for all DCs to have standard work.
  • Planning Development and Training Programs are critical to establish sustainable growth.
Lean Events:
  • The role will require leading mapping sessions to plan out strategic priorities.
  • Involve Preparing workshops, background data, and then facilitating the events.
  • The focus will be on +$1m saving projects; a minimum of one per year.
  • Follow-through on VMBs will be a standard requirement.
Maintain professional engagement with internal and external working relationships.
  • Role will manage KPI data decks, presented monthly as part of the team MOR (monthly)
  • Data management is critical to ensure that 'current state' data is available for build-on.
ADMINISTRATION:
  • 'Bridge' between the Logistics/Warehousing teams and the Business
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all customer and trading partner queries.
REPORTING LINES
  • No direct reports.
  • The role will be required to be part of sessions that will cross over multiple time zones - APAC, EU & US
  • 3PL providers of Warehousing services report indirectly. Includes B2C, Stock, Non-Stock & Fixtures
  • Peers to this role will be OPERATIONS DIRECTORS for APAC, Europe, Americas & Logistics Non-Stock Managers.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • May be required to step into Warehouse management, tender support & be customer-facing with 3PL and supplier negotiations.
  • The role will require traveling to locations across the world.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND WORK AIDS:

  • Microsoft Office suite including MS Teams, Futura Retail Systems, or relative ERP systems.
  • LEAN and or Six Sigma experience and/or qualifications.
