This organization is responsible for developing and implementing NCR's corporate security program. The primary goal of the program is to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information resources. Key information security functions and activities include architecture and design for NCR information security controls, developing and enforcing policies and standards, security awareness training, risk management, assessment, and testing, monitoring and metrics, incident management, threat intelligence and vulnerability management.The Executive Director, Cyber Defense Center shall be responsible for the disciplines that support the digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) functions of the Cyber Defense Center in support of the NCR Chief Security Officer organization to defend NCR from Cyber threats. The Executive Director is also responsible for helping define the strategy for security defense tools, planning and execution of projects that are aligned with the mission of the office of the CSO. The Executive Director, Cyber Defense Center is responsible for building the team and driving successful execution of the Cyber Defense Center to include building processes and procedures, SOP's, workflows, and playbooks/runbooks for the DFIR functions.The Executive Director, Cyber Defense Center reports to the Vice President, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer.Key Responsibilities* Manage a team of Information Security professionals and engineers, define goals, set priorities and provide guidance to employees.* Manage outsourced vendors and consultants providing Cyber Security services.* Hire, terminate, evaluate employee performance, define performance improvement plans.* Talent development and professional mentoring of employees* Identify and implement tools that can lead to greater effectiveness and efficiency of Cyber Defense Center DFIR team members.* Drive process improvements and best practices for operational effectiveness.* Develop organizational strategy to drive growth of an effective Cyber Defense Center DFIR operation to include organizational design, recruiting, training, employee advancement, etc.* Ensure security incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation, and monitoring.* Ensure compliance to SLA, process adherence and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives.* Responsible for team management, overall use of resources and initiation of corrective action where required for the Cyber Defense Center DFIR functions.* Creation of reports, dashboards, metrics for DFIR and Threat Intelligence operations and presentation to other team members and Executive Leadership.* Develop and grow Insider risk program aligned with company objectives.* Summarize events/incidents effectively to different constituencies such as legal counsel, executive management, and technical staff, both in written and verbal forms when required.* Ensure team members are maintaining required efforts to support NCR's efforts to maintain relevant industry certifications to represent to customers the high commitment to security and professionalism of the staff.* Ensure the capability in the Cyber Defense Center to lead major incidents and other crisis's as may be tasked to the Chief Security officer organization.* Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned by the direct supervisor.Skills and Qualifications* A bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.* 5+ years of leadership/management experience.* 10+ years relevant experience directly in cybersecurity.* Demonstrated leadership of staff in investigations and incident response disciplines* Experience briefing executives on cybersecurity matters, particularly incidents.* In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity field such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management and able to teach others* One or more Industry recognized certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, CISM, GCTI* Proficiency developing a program and leveraging threat intelligence in investigations and related decision making.* Experience with digital forensics and leading investigations* Proficient in Incident Management and Response and developing others in this area.* Experience in managing team dynamics; especially within a remote workforce.* Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards, and documentation for all levels from individual contributor to executive management.* Excellent communication and leadership skills.* Ability to handle high pressure situations.* Thrive and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.* Able to define and lead standards for systems and process to support industry standard security tools and practices.* Knowledge and experience in operating systems, computer networks and cryptography* Experience working in large organizations across business and technical functions.* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere.* Strong attention to detail* Ability to deal with ambiguity and translate high level objectives into detailed tasks* Ability to prioritize work with multiple, simultaneous work assignments* Ability to weigh business risks and recommend appropriate information security measuresPreferred* Experience working internationally.* Experience coordinating with external entities (public and private) in investigations.* Experience developing and being accountable for managing a budget.* Has been part of the response team for a cyber security breach.* Experience interacting with law enforcement and other government entities in support of mission objectives.Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.Full time employee benefits include:* Medical Insurance* Dental Insurance* Life Insurance* Vision Insurance* Short/Long Term Disability* Paid Vacation* 401kEEO StatementIntegrated into our shared values is NCR's commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunity.
