HBK Engineering is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor. This position will be responsible for building this area of the business, including assisting in expanding our current survey offerings. Better outcomes are achieved when we bring our authentic selves to work daily.Our sights are set on the future, and we invite you to rise to the challenge.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Procure necessary research for survey projectsPrepare calculations for field crewsGive specific direction and guidance to field crewsPrepare project budgets, proposals and technical reportsAbility to represent projects at planning, client and municipal meetingsOversee field survey, including on-site management as-neededMarket HBK s servicesProvide professional coordination and expertise related to the work of field survey crews and office staff to support work requestsReview and certify completed survey workDirect the writing of land descriptions and maps in accordance with standard surveying practicesInterpret and review engineering plans and drawingsServe as head field expertCreate field and safety guidelines handbookQualified candidates will oversee boundary, topographic, easement, ALTA, control and utility surveys.Minimum QualificationsCurrent Illinois or Iowa Professional Land Survey License (PLS)Excellent people management skillsProfessional communication with clientsFlexibility to work in the office and fieldProficiency in AutoCAD, Total Station, GPSMinimum of 5-8 years progressive experience in subsurface and/or geotechnical engineeringSome travelPay rang e : $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually, Commensurate with experience.The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.
