ID:Line Buyer poolLocation:Middlebury, IN**Purpose:** this position exists to provide broad technical and analytical expertise in all areas of inventory management, manufacturing planning, scheduling and internal company processes to facilitate the timely completion of various projects and the successful introduction of improved planning and scheduling procedures. The position prepares and maintains material plans and production schedules for assigned components and sub-assemblies to provide a smooth flow of matched sets of parts, enabling manufacturing to achieve the master production schedule.
**Essential functions** * Requires 5-7 years of related experience.
* Requires knowledge of company products, manufacturing processes and closed-loop MRP II systems (including material and capacity planning, purchasing, inventory control and cycle counting.
* College education and APICS certification is desirable.
* Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all personnel and suppliers.
* Critical thinking skills and good organizational skills including ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
* This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 75% of the day and occasionally, working in a hot, humid manufacturing environment.
* Requires ability to travel between field locations.
* Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to ten pounds.
* This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours and days worked.
* Regular attendance is a job requirement.
