Purpose:

Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing laundry functions in order to create a safe, secure and inviting environment for guest while meeting and exceeding Performance Hospitality's quality service standards. Maintains the laundry and appropriate facilities in a clean and orderly manner while providing excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Essential Function of Job:

  • Cleaning and storing linens in a timely, organized manner to ensure that hotel's laundry and linen needs are met.
  • Operate and monitor washing and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
  • Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer and dryer, and place in clean linen carts.
  • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, and drain trap after each load. Fold cleaned articles into designated size in accordance with our resort standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of items laundered. Must be able to lift 25-30 lbs. and occasionally up to 65 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be able to spend the majority of the day standing, carrying, and walking

Qualifications:

jHigh School Diploma or equivalent; at least one (1) year experience in a similar role.

Command of the English language both written and verbal. Well organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to work beyond standard hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the guests' needs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year hospitality experience.
